Upcoming Skills Labs
The Glaze Lab
Duration: 2 hours
Class Size: 8
Instructor: Laura
This workshop is designed for curious clay artists who want to better understand the magic of surface. In this hands-on class, participants will learn how to test glazes, explore layering combinations, and learn how different raw materials and glaze elements influence color, movement, texture, opacity, breaking, pooling, and finish.
Some glazes stay still and satin-smooth, while others run, bloom, break over texture, or shift dramatically when layered with another surface. Tiny changes in materials can create big differences in the kiln—turning one glaze glossy, another matte, and another unexpectedly speckled, fluid, or atmospheric. This workshop invites you to experiment, observe, and ask questions as you discover how glaze chemistry and application choices shape the final result.
All levels are welcome. Whether you’re new to glaze testing or ready to deepen your surface knowledge, this workshop offers a thoughtful and creative space to build confidence, spark curiosity, and expand your glaze vocabulary through testing, discovery, and play.

Instructor: Laura

Trimming is more than cleanup—it is where form becomes more defined, functional, and expressive. This all-levels workshop is designed to help clay artists sharpen their technique, strengthen their eye, and better understand how thoughtful finishing can transform a pot.
💥 Enrolling Now For:
April 27th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
